The Poynter Fellowship for College Journalists: Young journalists have always been a top priority for Poynter. For more than 30 years, the Institute has led the best-known program in the world for recent college graduates. Poynter fellows have gone on to pioneer new methods of storytelling, lead newsrooms, win Pulitzers.

Who: 40 Poynter Fellows — college juniors, seniors, grad students or recent graduates, interested in writing, photojournalism, design, information graphics, broadcast and multimedia.
Where: The Poynter Institute, St. Petersburg, Florida
May 16-28, 2010 (This is before many internships begin, so students with internships are welcome to apply.)
Cost: Tuition is free! You are responsible for getting here and you pay for housing (affordable accommodations have been arranged at the University of South Florida).

Once you’ve completed this online application, please mail a signed letter of reference from a faculty advisor along with three to five samples of your work. (Samples might include writing clips, print designs, digital images or videos on a disk, or a clear link to specific examples on your Web site.)
